Mr Ali Abbasian is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon. He is the lead Foot and Ankle surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital which is an internationally recognised teaching hospital. He is currently the director of the fellowship programme at the hospital training future consultant foot and ankle surgeons. 

He has a particular interest in total ankle replacement surgery as well as complex reconstructions of the ankle and hindfoot and regularly accepts tertiary referrals from other orthopaedic centres around the country.  

He graduated from St George’s Hospital in London and completed his orthopaedic training in London before completing a highly regarded fellowship in the US. He is one of few UK surgeons to have been accepted and completed a fellowship programme recognised by the American Foot and Ankle society. 

He prides himself in being approachable and in managing your foot and ankle complaint without surgery when possible but to perform surgery in a timely manner to ensure a high level of function. 
Other Areas of expertise include, Bunions, Brachymetatarsia and sporting injuries around the foot and ankle.
