Mr Roche’s surgical practice encompasses all aspects diagnosis and treatment (operative and non-operative) of foot and ankle disorders including:
- Sports injuries - ankle ligament sprains and fractures
- Bunions
- Morton’s Neuromas
- Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Flat feet and high arched feet
- Ganglions
- Tendinitis or Tendinopathy
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Hammer toes and claw toes
His particular specialty interests include the mechanisms of sports injuries and optimisation of rehabilitation in athletes. He also has an interest in correction and treatment of complex deformity around the foot and ankle - using internal fixation or external fixation techniques.

- Teaches and examines for the international Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) course
- Lectures locally, nationally and internationally on foot and ankle surgery
