As a surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacements, Mr Williams has helped people to understand what causes joint pain, and how to prevent surgery by staying healthy. Over 13 years of experience as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon, Mr Williams' specialist interests are in primary and revision hip and knee replacement. His medical device review work follows journal and national review work, and a master’s degree thesis that forms part of a strong portfolio of published research.

At the start of the millennium his surgical training took him to Australia, South Africa and on to the South West Peninsular Higher Surgical programme, an AO trauma fellowship in Seattle, six months at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and a 12-month lower limb arthroplasty fellowship in Vancouver. 

Outside of work he is a keen runner and cyclist and enjoys all that the outdoors has to offer while spending time with his friends and family.
