Miss Samantha Tross is one of London's most reputable orthopaedic surgeons and has served as a Consultant for over 20 years at Ealing Hospital, part of the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. She specialises in conditions of the hip and knee in adults and in children aged 13 years and above.
Miss Tross trained in London on the prestigious Royal London and Guy's & St. Thomas’ rotations and completed Fellowship training in Arthroplasty in both Canada and Australia. She is a former Head of Department at Ealing Hospital and has held multiple educational roles throughout her career. She currently serves as a Medical School Examiner for Imperial College London and as an External Examiner for the University of the West Indies. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the American University of the Caribbean and a former Associate Editor for the Journal of Case Reports.
She is the current Secretary of the International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance and a founding member and former Trustee of the British Association of Black Surgeons. Miss Tross has contributed significantly to the British Hip Society (BHS), including serving on its committee, lecturing at the Emerging Hip Surgeons Course, and participating in the BHS Revision Hip Series. She is also an experienced Basic Surgical Skills Trainer.
A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in medicine, Miss Tross is committed to building a diverse pipeline of future surgeons. She actively works with inner-city schools, underprivileged communities, and medical schools to inspire and support the next generation of surgical professionals.
