Dr Griffin is a Consultant Neurologist. She is recognised globally as an expert within the field of traumatic brain injury (head injury/concussion). Dr Griffin developed the traumatic brain injury service at St George's University Hospitals Foundation Trust and has run this for the last 15 years. She has developed her private specialist complex traumatic brain injury outpatient service over the last ten years.
Dr Griffin has an international patient base and advises both professional/amateur sporting and non sporting professionals regarding the assessment/treatment of head injury. This is in addition to advice about brain health and head injury prevention.

- Dr Griffin has published over 30 peer reviewed scientific papers, over 50 abstracts to learned societies, two invited book chapters and two invited publications for the head injury charity Headway
- Dr Griffin is frequently invited to lecture/present at conferences worldwide. The most recent invited presentation was at The Society of British Neurological Surgeons conference in September 2023
- Dr Griffin is passionate about teaching: both to healthcare professionals (doctors, medical students and allied healthcare professionals), and the general public (she frequently talks about head injury and its prevention at schools and sports clubs nationally)
- Dr Griffin recently co-wrote the traumatic brain injury section of the neurology specialist training curriculum. She is also involved in head injury service development, having co-written an invited paper on the management of traumatic brain injury (a clinical neuroscience led pathway)
