The Post Knee Replacement Pain Clinic (PKRPC) at Fortius brings together dedicated revision surgery expertise, pain medicine, and a full multidisciplinary team to find out why things are not right and what comes next.
Book a consultationThe Post Knee Replacement Pain Clinic is a dedicated service for patients who continue to experience pain, stiffness, or instability following knee replacement surgery, and for whom a clear explanation or resolution has not yet been found. Led by Mr Urjit Chatterji, one of the UK’s most experienced revision knee surgeons, and supported by pain physician Dr Damien Smith, the clinic offers a thorough, experienced, and honest assessment in a multidisciplinary setting.
Using state-of-the-art investigations where required, the goal is simple: to answer why, and to agree on what comes next.
This is not a single-visit fix. Patients should expect a staged process, but one with a clear direction of travel at every step.
Your personalised knee review pathway starts here.
Book an appointmentFollow the steps to understand what happens next and how our team works to uncover why your knee replacement is still painful.
Your first consultation will involve a thorough review of your history, symptoms, and any previous investigations.
By the end of your appointment, you will have a clear direction on what may be needed next.
If further surgery is indicated, you will be in the hands of a dedicated revision specialist, not a generalist. Mr Chatterji and his colleagues operate at the highest level of complexity in this field.
If further targeted investigations are needed before a decision can be made, these will be arranged promptly as part of a joined-up plan.
If surgery is not required, you will have a structured, patient-specific, non-surgical programme rather than a vague plan or another referral.
The PKRPC brings together a team of specialists who each contribute to understanding the full picture: structural, physiological, and psychological.
