About AFC Wimbledon
AFC Wimbledon were born out of adversity in 2002. Seen as the continuation of Wimbledon FC who on May the 28th 2002 were given permission to relocate to Milton Keynes. Wimbledon Fans got together and decided to start again. The Dons Trust would own the club and it would become a wholly fans owned club.
Since those early days the football club has gone from strength to strength. Winning 6 promotions and finding its way back to the EFL in 9 short years. The club has had many heady days which include playing Liverpool in the FA Cup and actually knocking out West Ham United in 2019.
