Fortius is proud of its reputation for managing sports injuries in elite athletes and also in the everyday leisure runner.
James said: “One of the most rewarding parts of the job is to see a player who has had a catastrophic injury get back out on the pitch. We are very lucky – they come up and shake your hand and say thanks. And that is very special.”

Working closely with the Harlequins medical team, Fortius provides a streamlined assessment procedure and ensures the club and the player follow the right steps for a smooth and effective full return to fitness.
Harlequins Head of Medical Services Mike Lancaster said the relationship gives the players, the medical team and the club the reassurance and confidence that the players have the best possible care.
“At any point of transition in the process we know who to go to at Fortius, how they’re going to handle the situation and how they’re going to communicate,” said Mike.
