Mr Gordan Grahovac is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in Complex Spinal Surgery at the King's College Hospital in London. He has been Clinical Lead for Spine Surgery at King's College Hospital since 2020. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the conservative and surgical management of spinal conditions. Mr Grahovac qualified from medical school in Zagreb where he completed his neurosurgical training. He completed paediatric neurosurgical fellowship at Lurie Childrens Hospital in Chicago, USA, and Complex Spine Fellowship at King’s College Hospital.
He has a wide range of experience in performing complex spinal surgery and also offers minimally invasive procedures utilising wide range of enabling technology such as spinal navigation and spinal robotics when appropriate. Mr Grahovac currently offers a wide range of procedures with a special focus on specific sets of procedures - procedures for degenerative spinal conditions (back pain, sciatica, radiculopathy, and myelopathy), cervical disc replacement, cervical foraminotomy, anterior cervical fusion, minimally invasive spinal surgery (tubes and endoscopic), spinal metastasis, intradural and intramedullary tumours, spinal deformity surgery, spinal infections and surgery for spinal fluid leaks. He also offers pain procedures such as injections, joint denervation and basivertebral nerve ablation.
Mr Grahovac performs the entire spectrum of simple and complex spinal surgery, including minimally invasive surgery and Robotic assisted spine surgery. Mr Grahovac is a specialist for CSF leaks (spinal fluid leaks) that are causing spontaneous intracranial hypotension. Surgical repairs of CSF leaks will be performed through the minimal invasive approaches if possible, including ventral leaks, leaks due to meningeal cysts/lumbar punctures, CSF Venous fistulae.
