William Wynter Bee

Dr William Wynter Bee is a Consultant in Musculoskeletal, Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM), who has extensive experience in managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He has work across elite sport but has a special interest in golf working for the European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) and is currently completing a PhD looking at the common Injury patterns and illness seen in Elite Professional Golfers through the University of Edinburgh, supported by the European Tour Group & The R&A.

As well as working privately he works at Oxford University Hospital (OUH) NHS Trust at the world-renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine having completed higher specialty training in the prestigious London deanery and has a master’s degree in Sport, Medicine Exercise and Health from the University College London and is the immediate past president of the sport and exercise medicine section at the Royal Society of Medicine.

He has a keen interest and vast experience in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound, both to assist diagnosis and to guide interventions and achieved a distinction in a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from the University of East London. He is passionate about taking a whole person approach and understands well the links between the mind and body having a achieved a distinction in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Diploma in Elite Athlete Mental Health and is leading the ongoing development of the European Tour Group mental health strategy for their elite golfers.

He is passionate about non-surgical management in musculoskeletal medicine and believes that using a holistic approach and providing a clear diagnosis and management plan allows for the best chance of getting patients back to their activities and sports they love.
