Dr Craig Sheridan is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine (SEM) who practices privately in the UK and Channel Islands. He provides specialist care within military and professional sporting environments. He works with Ipswich Town Football Club and did so during their recent promotion to the Premier League and the English Football Association. He has previously worked with Colchester United Football Club, Essex County Cricket, Henley Royal Regatta and the Island Games. As such, he has extensive experience in providing holistic assessments and management of work, military and sport-related injuries.

Dr Sheridan obtained his medical degree from Leicester-Warwick Medical School and completed his master’s degree with distinction from Queen Mary University London. His specialist training was undertaken in the East of England at Cambridge University and Ipswich Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts and his fellowship was at the Ministry of Defence's cutting-edge ‘Defence and Medical Rehabilitation Centre’ located at Stanford Hall and Fortius Clinic.

Dr Sheridan has an interest in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, particularly for shoulder pain and tendinopathy. He can perform a wide range of ultrasound guided injections, which provide valuable diagnostic information - identifying the specific site of pain as well as providing treatment of symptoms. He enjoys teaching and is a GMC registered clinical educator, teaching on the University of Essex musculoskeletal ultrasound diploma and is a clinical supervisor for clinicians training in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is also a medical appraiser for Defence Medical Services and a long serving faculty member for the Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ATMMIF) course.

Working with military personnel and athletes for many years, he has developed a keen interest in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions seen all too frequently in these populations, including stress fractures, tendinopathy and conservative management of early knee arthritis.
