Dr Christopher Watura is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiology Specialist with an interest in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.
Dr Watura completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary's University of London and undertook an undergraduate musculoskeletal radiology attachment in San Diego before graduating from the University of Birmingham in Medicine and Surgery and working as a doctor across a broad range of specialties, including orthopaedics, rheumatology and emergency medicine.
His radiology training was at Imperial College, followed by subspecialty fellowships in musculoskeletal and spinal diagnostics and intervention in London and Vancouver. Post-CCT, he worked as a sports radiology Fellow in Australia before taking up his current position as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where he has taken on additional roles including Trauma Imaging Lead and Educational Supervisor.
Dr Watura has experience of treating international elite athletes, including those in Olympic competition, Premier League football, professional cricket, ballet, rugby and tennis. He was one of the radiologists providing imaging services at the XXII Commonwealth Games 2022.
Alongside his clinical work, he has authored numerous PubMed indexed radiology publications in peer reviewed journals and has contributed abstracts and presentations at multiple national and international scientific research meetings.
