Mr Irfan Malik is an internationally respected spinal surgeon and a leading authority in endoscopic, minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery. He provides expert, compassionate care for degenerative, infectious, traumatic and malignant spinal conditions.
After completing his neurosurgical training in Pakistan FCPS (SN) , Mr Malik undertook advanced training at the renowned Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, and University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire He gained his FRCS (SN) and completed prestigious fellowships in Complex Spine Surgery at University Hospital Coventry and Epilepsy Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London.
Mr Malik treats the full range of spinal conditions, surgical and non-surgical, and is highly accomplished in minimally invasive surgery and disc replacement for neck pain, back pain, arm pain and sciatica. He has performed more endoscopic (“keyhole”) spine procedures than any other UK surgeon, and his pioneering work was featured in Channel 4’s Emergency (Series 3, Episode 4).
He integrates cutting-edge technology into his practice, including endoscopic, robotic-assisted and image-guided navigation surgery, for greater precision, smaller incisions and faster recovery. He is the only surgeon in London to have pioneered endoscopic discectomy under conscious sedation, allowing patients to talk with him during surgery. Across more than 1,500 private and NHS procedures with excellent results, most patients go home the same day or the next.

Our 79,000 sq ft, seven-story, private hospital on Wigmore Street has 39 en-suite inpatient rooms, consultation and treatment rooms, and a physiotherapy suite.
The hospital has a high-spec imaging suite fully equipped with an MRI, CT scanner and X-ray machine. There are three state-of-the-art operating theatres, two anaesthetic rooms and a recovery bay.

Our Wimbledon clinic houses a state-of-the-art imaging centre with a 3T MRI and X-ray scanners, Ultrasound, seven consulting rooms, two spacious waiting areas and well equipped treatment rooms all located on one level, ensuring easy accessibility for all patients.
Our partnership with Spire St Anthony’s Hospital allows us to provide orthopaedic surgery closer to our clinic. We treat a full range of conditions and perform joint replacement surgery using the latest Mako robotic assisted technology.
