Mr. Ali Narvani - Professional Bio
Mr Ali Narvani is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who limits his practice exclusively to disorders of the shoulder and elbow. He treats the full spectrum of conditions affecting these joints, from sports-related injuries and degenerative disease to complex trauma, using both open and arthroscopic techniques.
Ali trained in London at the United Medical and Dental School of Guy's and St Thomas' (UMDS, University of London) and at University College London, before completing higher surgical training through North West Thames Specialised Orthopaedics and Trauma Training. He went on to hold two prestigious fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery: the first as the Paul Calvert Fellow, working alongside fellow Fortius consultant Andrew Wallace in London, and the second at the internationally renowned Reading Shoulder Unit under Stephen Copeland and Ofer Levy.
Alongside his surgical training, Ali gained a Distinction in an MSc in Sports Medicine and holds membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK). This dual grounding in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine shapes his approach to treating active patients, from weekend athletes to professional sportspeople, with a particular focus on tendon repair, joint stabilisation and joint replacement of the shoulder and elbow.

Ali is active in research and has published and lectured widely, both nationally and internationally, on shoulder and elbow surgery, sports injuries and orthopaedics. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers listed on PubMed, edited a textbook in sports medicine, and contributed chapters to several other orthopaedic and sports surgery texts. He is a regular member of faculty at national and international shoulder courses.

Our partnership with Spire St Anthony’s Hospital allows us to provide orthopaedic surgery closer to our clinic. We treat a full range of conditions and perform joint replacement surgery using the latest Mako robotic assisted technology.
